Vaccines for Kids
Vaccines for Infants, Children, & Teens
Immunizations are important for everyone, at all ages. We provide vaccines to reduce the spread of disease in our community and to protect health.
Childhood Vaccine Requirements
Childcare
Diseases are easily spread in group settings of children. Wisconsin law requires some vaccines for childcare settings to help protect from these diseases. If your child has received all recommended vaccines for their age, they will meet childcare requirements.
School
The Wisconsin Student Immunization Law PDF says that all students through grade 12 are required to have certain vaccines based on their grade and age. It is important that your child is up to date on vaccines so they don’t miss school.
Look-up my/my child’s vaccination record
With the full FDA authorization/commercialization of the new COVID-19 vaccine formula, De Pere Health Department will no longer be able to administer COVID vaccine to everyone. We will have a limited supply of vaccine from the state through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program reserved for children without insurance or who are underinsured, including those that are Medicaid eligible. These doses are available at our routine VFC clinics once/month.
For adults and children with insurance that covers vaccine, please see your primary care physician, a local pharmacy, or www.vaccines.gov for COVID-19 vaccination options.
