For more than two decades, School Resource Officers (SROs) have worked in collaboration with the Unified School District of De Pere and West De Pere School District. The De Pere Police Department has four (4) sworn officers serving as SROs, with two (2) assigned to each school district.  This community-oriented policing assignment has many goals, with a primary focus of providing a safe learning environment for students and staff. 

An integrated SRO is a valuable resource, and can help foster positive relationships with our youth. SROs provide classroom instruction on youth related topics; serve as informal counselors, and law enforcement officers when necessary.
