How do I request an absentee ballot?
By mail The completed form should be mailed to: City of De Pere Clerk's Office, 335 S. Broadway, De Pere WI 54115
If this is your first time requesting an absentee ballot, you must include a copy of your photo ID. If you have requested a mailed absentee ballot in the past, your photo ID is already on file and you do not need to send another copy. Indefinitely confined voters who request a mailed absentee ballot for all elections are exempt from the photo ID requirement.
Absentee ballots must be returned to the Clerk's office by 8:00 PM on Election Day.
How do I return my absentee ballot?
- A postage-paid return envelope is included with your ballot.
- The Supreme Court recently ruled in Priorities USA v. WEC that secure drop boxes are permitted under state law as a valid method of absentee ballot return. Therefore, the built-in drop boxes at City Hall and the Community Center will be in use for the April election. *The Community Center drop box will be closed at 7:00 PM on April 1st*
Who can return an absentee ballot?
A voter may return his or her own ballot. An individual may also return the ballot of anyone he or she is lawfully assisting, such as a voter with a disability or a hospitalized voter.
When does in-person absentee voting start?
For the April election:
Tuesday, March 18th - Friday, March 28th at City Hall, in the Clerk's Office on the first floor
Hours are 7:30am - 5:00pm, with the exception of Friday, February 7th which is 7:30am - 11:30am
Do I need my photo ID to vote absentee?
You WILL need a photo ID to vote in-person absentee, just like you do at the polls. A list of acceptable types of photo ID is listed here.
